2009 is here, we had a great year in 2008,,we won several bass tournaments over the summer,,took several guide trips,,,,2009 has started out good. I went to Canada for a few days of walleye fishing with my sons. We caught a lot of eyes, several over 5 pounds,,,the week before my oldest son was in the same spot and caught a 13 and half pounder.
We are busy making plans for the up coming season. The boat and rods are ready. Give us a call,,,anyone bookong before the opener will get 20 % off!!!!
Well it has been a month since I have updated anything. Not because we have not been fishing. In June Suzanne and I went to Alexandria, MN and fished a tournament, we ended up in 3rd place. We caught alot of fish on Secret Weapon Spinner baits and Sumpn Sumpn jigs. I had several of these jigs given to me last year and I just tied one on and the fish started hammering it.
I took Scott and Greg out on Minnetonka on July 17 for a half day of fishing we caught a lot of fish. The photos are posted.
We went to Gull Lake for two tournaments and fished the Sumpn Sumpn jigs and Secret Weapon Buzzbaits. We won the Friday tournamnet and had big bass. We caught enough fish on Saturday to win the overall for the weekend. It was a good three days fishing.
On June 1, 2008 My dad and I went out and caught several nice bass and one nice walleye. They were hitting stickbaits.
May 30, 2008 We took Tom from California out on Minnetonka. He was in town with his family and wanted to get some fishing in. We caught a lot of bass on Secret Weapon Spinnerbaits. There is a photo of Tom's largest one on the photo page. We made several trips out on the lake while he was in town. One of trips his son, Joey caught his first bass.
May 24, 2008, Bass Season is open !!!!!!! I went out on Lake Minnetonka this morning and found several nice fish up shallow. I caught many over 3 pounds, with a couple over 4 pounds.
May 15, 2008 Suzanne and I went out on Lake Minnetonka, our goal was to catch a 5 pound Northern to take home for dinner. We caught one small Northern and several Bass. We also found some nice Crappies and Sunfish. While catching the panfish I hooked a musky after a good fight we were able to land it. There was one bigger with it. There is a photo of it on the photo page.
May 14, 2008 Suzanne and I got out on Lake Minnetonka for a short fishing trip. We took two young boys out to catch some sunnies and crappies. Each spot we stopped we caught them on almost every cast. Some nice ones too. We also caught a couple of nice bass.
May 10. 2008 I went up to Woman Lake near Longville,MN for the walley opener. Took a Texan out on the lake. We caught one Walleye about 2 pounds and several nice perch. The weather was not good for fishing, it was raining and cold most of the morning.
Sunday May 4, 2008 Suzanne and I got out on Lake Minntonka and found Crappies and Sunnies in a small dead end cove. They were stacked up in one spot in the cove. We fished in and out and found them in the end. We caught fish on almost every cast. We brought home 15 Crappies and 5 Sun fish. We cooked them on the grill and had my parents and grandmother over for dinner. There were no left overs.
The fish wanted wax worms, we tried minnows but they would not hit them. We also tried other spots but the fisrt one was the best.
